The Pennsylvania Link to Aging and Disability Resources, in collaboration with The Arc – Lancaster Lebanon, invites you to come to this second in the monthly series. This film screening, Going Blind: Coming Out of the Dark About Vision Loss tells the stories of everyday people and their heroic efforts they make to live in today’s world with vision loss.
The “popcorn & a movie” events are free to attend and will be held on the FOURTH Wednesday of each month. The room at The Arc of Lancaster Lebanon’s new location at 116 West Airport Road – Suite A, Lititz, PA accommodates 30 so we do ask you to RSVP so we will not have overflow issues.
There’ll be time for discussion about each month’s movie topic.
Next month’s “popcorn & a movie” will be Being Mortal – 60 minutes – FRONTLINE follows renowned New Yorker writer and Boston surgeon Atul Gawande as he explores the relationships doctors have with patients who are nearing the end of life. The film investigates the practice of caring for the dying, and shows how doctors — himself included — are often remarkably untrained, ill-suited and uncomfortable talking about chronic illness and death with their patients.
BEING MORTAL | MAY 23 – 6:30 – 8:00 – RSVP now.
