The prevalence of scams targeting senior citizens continues to be a major concern for senior citizens and family members. It seems that there are daily news incidents that have impacted senior citizens in the Pennsylvania Link to Aging and Disability Resources Berks-Lancaster-Lebanon Service Area. The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office Website reminds: “Educating seniors about crime and how to avoid it is the best way we can help seniors to help themselves.“

“The Federal Bureau of Investigation lists several common scams that you should watch out for. They are health care or health insurance fraud, counterfeit prescription drugs, funeral and cemetery fraud, fraudulent anti-aging products, telemarketing fraud, internet fraud, investment schemes and reverse mortgage scams.”
