Slices of life surrounding Link to Aging and Disability’s activities this week

On Friday morning, the Lebanon County Link partners’ network monthly cross-training meeting was hosted by Linden Village Personal Care Community.

We met Melissa, Linden Village’s Activities Director, and she shared the Pizza Box Art she’s introduced. Here’s a little news coverage from the Lebanon Daily News. Linden Village’s Director of Marketing, Janell Brandt, has promised to share more about this exciting program at an upcoming Link partner’s network meeting in a “pecha kucha.”

Yesterday, too, the Pennsylvania Link to Aging and Disability Resources – Berks-Lancaster-Lebanon partners’ network had a display table at the Lancaster Activities Directors Association’s Bi-annual Spring Conference at Millersville University. Chris Gartman, Senior’s Blue Book and Link partner, volunteered to set up the exhibit and staff the exhibit. Teepa Snow was the featured presenter for the more than 250 conference attendees.

“Teepa Snow is an occupational therapist and advocate for those living with dementia and other forms of brain change. Her Positive Approach™ to Care techniques are a practical and structured approach to the complexities of brain failure. It is her personal passion and mission to improve the culture of dementia care worldwide.”

And, by the way she is a magnificently talented presenter with important techniques for persons who deal with, care for and live with persons with dementia. Here’s a Teepa Snow youtube clip to watch:
