Lancaster, PA: The Ware Center is thrilled to present the award-winning international children’s theater production Egg, an enchanting story of friendship and wonder for children and adults alike, at the Ware Center on February 24, 2016 at 7 p.m. Presented by the professional children’s touring theater, Cahoots NI, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, the story of Egg is told completely without words, using physical theatre, illusion, and music to explore the world of ‘flying the nest’. The show will also be held at 10 a.m. February 24 for a special School Day Series. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.
Egg is about growth, flight, and the eventual fleeing of the nest. Presented non-verbally, it relies on the actors’ physical skills, facial expressions, and choreography to tell the story in a way that connects with the little ones in the audience. With a nest made of twigs, sticks, feathers and shells, lighting that demonstrates the movement from night to day, and actors suspended in the air like birds, the show seeks to sustain the wonder and magic of our feathered friends.
