Nine or so months ago, Mike Ritter offered a suggestion at a Pennsylvania Link to Aging and Disability Resources’ cross-training meeting for the Lebanon County partners to consider.
On Wednesday, March 16, 2016, nearly two dozen professionals representing Lebanon County Link partners and other resources providers in the county attended the four-hour workshop entitled: “See the Tree Through the Forest: Moving to Trauma-informed Care.”
Michael C. Ritter, MPA, is the Public Education Coordinator, with Link partner Domestic Violence Intervention of Lebanon County, Inc. Mike facilitated this dynamic, interactive four-hour workshop at the Grace M. Pollack Training & Community Center at Philhaven‘s Campus in Mt. Gretna, Pennsylvania.
The 74 partner entities comprising the Pennsylvania Link to Aging and Disability Resources’ Lebanon County partners’ network represent a broad cross-section of the county’s long-term services and supports resources providers.
Mike’s presentation took the workshop participants on a trip explaining the funcions of the human brain; traumatic brain injury and a host of “trees” including Adverse Childhood Experiences.
