In this week’s wrap-up: Human Diversity and Cultural Competency Online Course
A training course on understanding diversity and cultural competence is available on the Long Term Living Training Institute’s (LTLTI) website.
As Pennsylvania becomes more diverse, learning and understanding about human diversity and cultural competence can assist staff in delivering services to older adults in a culturally sensitive manner. The training course was developed in partnership with the department’s Cultural Diversity Advisory Council and is recommended for AAA directors and staff, senior community center directors/managers, services and support providers, and individuals who administer and provide services to older adults. The course consists of four interactive units. Each unit is composed of shorter modules that are between 15 and 30 minutes in length.
