|THIS MONTH’S NEWS|
From the Latino Connection team
Latino Connection was honored to be part of this year’s PENNSYLVANIA HEALTH EQUITY SUMMIT: Momentum to Action – Answering the Call for Social Justice and Health Equity.
Throughout the Department’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been continually revealed the importance of achieving health equity through cultural competence, racial equity, and eliminating barriers that vulnerable populations face in healthcare systems and beyond.
Founder and CEO, George Fernandez, took part in the afternoon Latino Health Panel. There, he was able to share our team’s experiences working in underserved and vulnerable communities during the pandemic by hosting testing and vaccine clinics against COVID-19. We also want you to remember that CATE, powered by Latino Connection, is still distributing vaccines against COVID-19 throughout Pennsylvania this month.
You can follow us on Instagram and Facebook and visit CATEMobileUnit.com for information on dates, locations, and registration.
THE TIME HAS COME for us to save the date for this year’s Latino Ball. We will be enjoying a piece of Colombia at the 9th Annual Latino Ball on October 1st, so mark your calendars now!
