On the behalf of Gov. Tom Corbett, the Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA) is proud to announce a new grant funding opportunity for Pennsylvania’s Senior Community Centers that includes $2 million to be awarded in 2014-15. The grants are intended to enable Senior Community Centers to develop a more diverse membership and increase participation, expand and increase quality programming, further modernize facilities, and encourage sustainable and innovative programs and services.

Grant applications will be evaluated for how effectively they advance one or more of the four goals listed in PDA’s 2012-2016 State Plan on Aging. The grant application period opens on Aug. 11, 2014, and applications are due no later than Sept. 8, 2014, by 5 p.m. Visit www.aging.state.pa.us to access the application submission instructions and required attachments.
