“Even though he retired from the Lebanon VA Medical Center two years ago, Rodney Kiscadden finds himself today in a role that, in some ways, is more rewarding than the job he held for 31 years.
“The soft-spoken former housekeeping supervisor volunteers and assists veterans with activities, like on-campus bingo games and trips to baseball games and other events.
“Kiscadden lives with his wife, Lois, in South Lebanon Township. He makes the two-mile trip from his home several days a week to help veterans.
“He has been making that drive for a long time. Kiscadden, 63, began his career at the Lebanon VA as a part-time employee in the housekeeping department after losing his job as Bethlehem Steel closed its operations in Lebanon.”
