Two new companion videos, The Promise of Olmstead: 15 Years Later and Voices from the Olmstead Decision, are now posted to the ADA.gov website.
The first video is a tribute from the departments of Justice and Health and Human Services to the dedicated and brave individuals who have worked to make the Olmstead Decision a way of life. It opens with a statement from Secretary of Labor Tom Perez and features stories from advocates. In the closing statement, Associate Attorney General Tony West highlights the Civil Rights Division’s Olmstead enforcement efforts, as well as its ongoing commitment to ensuring that people with disabilities can live and participate in, and contribute to, our communities.
