April became Sexual Assault Awareness Month (otherwise known as SAAM) fifteen years ago.

It has grown into an international movement igniting individuals and communities to take action and promote public awareness on sexual violence prevention. Each year, the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) assigns a theme with SAAM - this year it’s “Prevention is Possible.”
